Brian, further to my question in post #2. Do you ever use your 7D with the Sigma 105? I find for some unknown reason, my 7D and 105 not a very good combo. My old 450D (which I sadly no longer have) and my EOS-M have both performed very well.

No I haven't tried the 105 on the 7D. What problem did you see ?
I manual focus virtually all my shots so would not see AF problems.
