Due to my new interest in BIF photography, I recently picked up the 400/5.6 (I know, I'm a little late to the 400 party ;-)a). I had spent a few days practicing my BIF with the Tamron 150-600, but I found it a little too awkward for me for BIF. After a couple of days of trying out the 400, I find that this lens feels much more natural to me for BIF, and I love it so far!

Anyway, here are a few duck photos taken with the 400 during my first two days with the lens.

1. Mallard Drake

Thank you, CaptBob! Yes, we are very lucky with the variety here, all in one pond. :-)

Excellent choice Melissa and awesome set. Lot of photographers prefer 400mm f5.6 for bird in flight.
