OK, bustin' my buttons! Just ordered thru Adorama the 7d Markll and a Sigma 150-600C lens! Had to post, probably not right for this section, but I'm a birder. So... Been waiting since this camera came out and 2-3 months on the lens. Got the rebates, the dock with the lens, LR6 with the camera and free expedited shipping. Also no tax.
Now I have to stay away from the local camera store. Not good, but...
And now I have to live up to my end with shooting sessions. Hope I can master all the great features I'll have at my disposal.

I've got my 7DII recently, but only got to shoot the Moon, Mars, Jupiter. I've got the weekend off, and am hoping I can get out and play with it. I took some shots the other day, but the lighting was horrible so they got deleted.

Now you're gonna have to produce, Rog; we expect great things! Seriously though, congratulations on your new acquisitions; I know you'll put them to good use.

Love to oblige but weather stinks! Even high wind warning for tomorrow! Everything arrived Thursday afternoon after ordering late Tuesday -that free expedited shipping is great! Not crazy about the simplistic owner manual w/the camera. I like detailed hows and whys for everything . Downloaded it but printing 500+ pages!? Ow. But the basics are same as my 7d in most cases.
Stay tuned.;-)a

I did say "Stay tuned", didn't i? Unfortunately, other projects, outside spring chores plus a remodel/updating project the better half is involving me in has tied up my time. And weather isn't the greatest many of the days. "That's my story and I'm sticking to it!"
Thank you for your interest. I will get out eventually, especially if and when those hummers start showing up.

I got out yesterday with my 7D2+400/5.6 in the pouring rain hoping the weather would keep the warblers low in the understory, but that wasn't the case. Those little birds were still working the canopy. Seems when I have time to go birding the weather isn't the best.
