These are quite noisy due to early morning light pushing the ISO up a bit, But these are a couple of images of the Male & Female Southern Emu Wren.
I have been waiting ages to see these guys so despite the poor image quality am super stoked with them. :)

Killer work Bianchi. Colors to die for. Here's some recent avian photos from the rookery down the street.

A few from Costa Rica--everything handheld--many user errors, occasionally bizarre focus, but overall better than the old 40D--but as good as the image stabilization is on the 100-400II, my shaky hands and weak arms betrayed me more often than I'd care to admit--time to learn to use a tripod..

A couple of different images from last week. The Savannah Sparrow was a bit far, but good conditions, light overcast, taken from my SUV (I always shut the engine off), on the Attwater Prairie Chicken NWR loop road. This is over 50% crop.

The Cooper's Hawk was close, he filled the viewfinder but very difficult conditions, heavy overcast and through my kitchen window (double pane, tinted). That is a White-winged Dove that he took in mid-air, over my front yard. Had to abandon my morning coffee for awhile. ;-)a

Both of these were handheld, AI Servo, center point.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.
