Red-crested pochard, male and female.
Yesterday there were 8 males and 3 females in the canal below my window so I went outside to take some shots.
I took these from the deck of a house boat but had the setting sun to my right, so there was some strong side lighting. Oh well...

Those are some beauts Levina. I think the side lighting works great for these.

My 1D iii has started to hiccup with an ER99 issue when pressing the shutter after sitting over night. Turning it off and on doesn't help but removing and reinstalling the battery usually solves the problem until it sits overnight again. Before I ship it off to Canon and cry, is there any credible do it yourself type of fix? I can't seem to find exactly what 99 is other than 'internal'. Thanks!

Which lens? Love the clouds and processing.

Thanks. I purchased a EF 35-80 f4-5.6 at a thrift shop for $10. I'm getting some good detail from it.
