I mostly do interviews, so there is usually a wireless lavaliere on the subject. I'll also usually have a cable from the output of the recorder to the audio input of the camera so that I can record sync sound that includes the recorder's auto slate tone. There is a battery booster Velcroed to the rear of the recorder to mitigate its one fault--poor internal battery life. So, I'm able to completely monitor the wireless receiver and the recorder.
