What's the lens you regret getting rid of?

I regretted selling my 24-105mm f4 IS, went to primes, 24 1.4, 35 1.4, 50 1.2, but for travelling I always missed the 24-105,
sold a few primes, then a week ago I found someone selling a brand new 24-105 in box, so I bought it, its sharp and great to have it again,
now I have 24 1.4 II, 24-105, and 70-200 f4 IS, nice travel kit, works well.

Definitely my 17-40L. Thought I didn't need the wide angle very much and switched to primes. Probably gonna get a 16-35 soon to replace it.

135L but bought it back later as it's widely available at a fair secondhand price

I regret selling my 70-200 f/4L IS due to monetary issues, and my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 non-VC to "upgrade" to the Canon 17-55 f/2.8IS. There's nothing wrong with the 17-55...it's a good lens, but the Tamron was sharper and I don't feel like I got much out of the IS.

Both have been replaced and I'm happy now, but those were both great lenses that I sorely missed until the current replacements were added to my bag.

I regret selling the 70-300 IS (non-L) twice but still am quite a bit happier with its replacement: 70-200 f/4 IS.

I do miss the size and weight of the non-L though.

I regret selling the 85 f/1.8 - oh no that might have been twice too. Waiting for the IS version...

I do not regret selling the 17-55 f/2.8.

Glad I upgraded from the non-IS 70-200 f/2.8 to the IS versions.

Was never thrilled with the old 28-70 f/2.8 I had for a short while but have been thrilled with the 24-70 f/2.8 II the times that I have rented it (can't afford to buy it.)

canon 85mm MK2 L sharpest lens I ever shot with.

I regret selling my impromptu purchase. 300mm f2.8 non-IS. I found it for a good price and then needed money for my wedding and sold it within 3 months. Almost every day I look for another but can't justify buying it at the moment.

Been thinking of getting the 15-85 again and selling my 18-55 stm and rarely used 10-18 stm.

Yup, sold my 15-85 IS because I thought I didn't use the wide end enough - so - I bought the 24-105L - great lens and focal range. But missed the wide end lol...

Okay I regret selling my 85mm F1.8 so I bought that one again.
And I also regret selling my 300mm F4 IS, I'm still thinking about buying it again, but will I use it enough as I also have my Tamron 150-600mm.

200-400/4 IS 1.4x - needed the money at the time and I only had it less than a year..

It sucks that you had to sell it. How was it to use? Since you've had both, how would you compare it to the 100-400Lii? I know the obvious: the 100-400Lii is lighter.... and slower. So, just how much better is a $11k lens than a $2K one?
