Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This weeks the theme is Blossoms. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Since we are fully into Spring, show us your Blossoms

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Monday Sunset and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Oooo.... I like the theme! :-D I was shooting flowers all last week!
Here's one to start us off. I shot it tonight after I saw the theme. 5 shot flower stack. The background is a piece of nicely crumpled aluminum foil from my dinner. I almost threw it away before the idea struck me to use it as a background. I added the colors to the background with 2 photo filters in PS. I tried something new & kinda like the effect. :-)

Love those Tim
We've been eating Wenatchee apples, from WA.
The fires were pretty bad up there.

Nice, Tim! Do you actually grow and eat your apples, or are they decorative trees? On your "Bonsai" apple tree, did you light paint it or use a flash?

Thanks Lisa, the Gravenstein apples trees are very old. According to one old neighbor there was an orchard on this property back in the 1940's. Sadly there are only 3 trees remaining. Gravensteins are not very good eating apples, but they are great for applesauce and in things like pies. The property is kept organic, and we usually give away several bushels of apples to friends and neighbor in the fall. Our resident herd of deer love eating the apples that drop off the trees.

I lit it with two Canon speedlites. A 580EX-II on camera in ETTL mode, and a 430EX-II in manual mode off to the left side with PW triggers.

some awesome work already this week! I get the feeling that my location is somewhat disadvantaged given the topic - sounds like a challenge...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
