These were just my thoughts on using the 1DX2 but not being able to take away any files to play with. My friend who uses a 1D4 was VERY impressed by the Mk2 handling and AF but again no files to play with!
Andy Rouse has been making some very positive noises about his Mk2 and getting some very nice shots at high ISO. I have no doubt from what I have seen, gathered and read that it will certainly be a better camera - no doubts about that! The question is how much better would it be for me (or you) for my/your needs.
I am still on the fence simply because I haven't been able to use one in the field and keep the files. When I do I will probably be very grumpy as I really can't afford one - but then I couldn't afford my Mk1 either:twisted:

I have some really bad news fellas...

On March 31, Canon started shipping the Canon 1D X Mark II to their subsidiaries in each of the different countries. This shipment was due to reach Canon USA's distribution center on April 14 and then after processing, distribution to authorized retailers in the U.S. was set to begin on April 25. Unfortunately, this happened yesterday and it looks like distribution in the U.S. will be set back at least 4-5 weeks.

Nice Photoshop.

(Am I allowed to post images in this manner? If not please remove the reference... the link above has the image as well.)

The Rena broke up and sank off of New Zealand in 2011. If there were 1DxIIs in it then Canon is/was way ahead of the game.

BTW, pretty much nobody puts corporate logos on shipping containers except for shipping companies.

As we all continue to wait for this beauty to arrive in May, we should schedule an evening sometime and get a near real-time conversation going on here while drinking a few craft beers or some wine. Or perhaps a craft root beer if alcohol is not your thing. Anything my friends to pass the time!

Cheers,
Bryan

Since I'm not getting one, can I be at your place testing yours? :) :)
