some awesome work already this week! I get the feeling that my location is somewhat disadvantaged given the topic - sounds like a challenge...

Well, I am on the right hemisphere but temperatures are below normal and it's a bit early for blossoms here anyway. Our trees usually blossom end of this month / early May. I haven't seen any. So it's going to be a challenge for me too...

I love the theme though and even if I can't find any blossoms this week, I am very much enjoying the blossoms in this thread. They're all very lovely. The "bonsai tree" made me chuckle. That's funny. And it really does look like a bonsai tree!

Sorry joeseph  I usually try to choose a subject that will not exclude your side of the hemisphere.
And sorry to you too Levina! I just have seen so many flowers lately and I wanted to see more.
Of course, here, the flowers start in mid-February!

My daughter is in the best place for blossoms at the moment!
She's in Tokyo this week, and was in Kyoto and Hiroshima last week.
Lots of cherry blossom there!

Great photos everyone, I've 'liked' them all.

Wildflowers are blooming along Wilson's Creek. Not sure what the pink one is but the wild iris were only about three inches tall.

Very nice! What kinds of blooms are they, do you know?

Both are very nice images, Don. I especially like the detail on the first one.

Joeseph & Levina, there's always the store. Many times I'll go by the clearance rack for flowers and find things to shoot for really cheap. If you don't want to buy something, take the camera & see if they'll let you photograph some flowers. :-)

Pete, it looks like something's been eating on your pansies! I've had that problem in the past too. No pansies this year though. (at least not yet)

Here are a few more from me. First is the backside of a blue-eyed African daisy. I really like the lines and contrasting colors. BTW, all 3 of these were shot on the 7DII with 200mm and 1.4tc AND 36mm extension tube. I had to try that combo to see how it did.

no worries! I have a feeling that if I look in the right place, I'll find something.

It does look that way. But they have survived the crazy weather we have had and struggled to come up. Not aesthetically pleasing but I thought they deserved the shot for being so tough

Couple more

The unusual weather has brought out an abundance of flowers here, but I haven't shot much. This is a low garden wall along someone's yard.

I really like the purple/lavender in those flowers (or are they really yellow?? ;-)a )
