I noticed yesterday that there is a new version of Digital Photo Professional, version 4.4.0.0 that's currently only available for download on the Canon websites 80D page. However using my 7D2 serial number I was able to download and install the new version. I was previously using version 4.3.31. Usually just adding lenses and bodies would not have caused the version to change from 4.3.x.x to 4.4.x.x, so I'm guessing there may have been some other updates to the software other then the inclusion of the 80D. Further, after some reading, I saw that others had downloaded a version number 4.4.20, which is different from what I just downloaded from Canon. Does anything have a handle on what, if anything, is different with this version?

I just want them to update the compatible list - they can support a 5D2, but not the 1Ds3...

We have 4 Canon bodies. They finally added my wife's t2i (550D). She has tons of raw images with it so I'm a happy camper now. All four bodies are covered.

Edit:
I just found this link from Canon in the Philippines. the 4.4.30 update seems to include only cameras and lenses.

4.4.30.2 now supports 1D mkIII too :-)

Edit; adjustments made to files in DPP3 aren't carried over when opened in '4 though. Another thing, I did a straight convert and save from a RAW file in both versions and got two different file sizes, 11mb from '3 and only 8mb from '4. Curious as to what it's throwing away...?

I don't think there is any change to the program. Just the lenses and cameras.
