Wonderful tight crop on #2 Phil and a perfect choice for b/w conversion. I feel the negative space on the right really strengthens it.

The firefighters looked exhausted but they eventually got it under control.

Excellent image of the firemen! Light and perspective are spot on.

Thank you sir!

My camera bag and gear smelled of smoke for nearly a week. It was awful. Actually this was a bit scary for other reasons. There is a building on the right just out of view that houses a small art museum. I'm on the Board there and we were worried that the flames would reach the facility and destroy the life's work of 69 artists. Fortunately there was only minor smoke damage and we were able to get everything cleaned up pretty well.:-)

Love the kid's expression Phil: the old "WTF you sticking that lens in my face for!"

Thanks - the Mayan are not particularly fond of having their photo taken.
This photo leads me to believe that it may be genetic. :-D

Ha - good one, and likely true. Either the child was not pleased or as my wife suggested: "Maybe it was just gas.......":-D

Here is another in the urban fire-fighter series. Even after the fire the hard work continues. I believe this may be one of the techniques they use to help drain the hoses.

Nicely captured. Shooting against the sun where is a lot of smoke gave the image very nice mood.
