Panasonic 100-400 any experience?

I'm still considering buying a good telezoom. Has anybody already some experience with the new Panasonic 100-400 mm?

I've had a look at those pics, they are amazing.

over on mu-43.com i've seen plenty of samples .. havent heard any complaints .. i dont own one but everyone that has posted over there seems pretty happy with it

The close focusing at the long end is nice.

just changed from full frame canon 1D and sigma 150-600 sport weighing in at approx 7kg to a Panasonic g80 and a paanasonic/leica 100-400 the new rig weighs in at 1.5kg all up and although I have only had it 3 days I'm totally blown away by the i.q .if your thinking of getting one "just do it " heres a couple of starter shots from today and I still dont fully understand the camera yet so things will improve .all shots hand held on a walkabout

Nice, I have been looking at this lens plus a G9 as a lightweight option, the dual I.S. On the G9 is supposed to be amazing.

all the modern Panasonics have it, my g80 or g85 stateside has 4 axis i.s in body and single in the lens giving five axis i.s ,dont think it works that way if you use a Olympus body though ,but not sure as have only just changed to pano .its certainly helped me as my old gear was holding me back

another shot from yesterday a great tit in the deep woods ,I was told that noise would be a problem with these small sensors .I think the pics speak for themselves

Yes, I know that some of the newer bodies were claiming up to 5 stops with the dual I.S., I read the G9 claim was up to 6.5 stops with dual I.S., that would be incredible compared to every other camera on the market. I just wonder if it is worth the price premium over the previous generation Panasonics. I am definitely not able to hold a camera as steady as I could when I was younger.

I recently took my Canon 7D mkII and my Sigma 150-600mm to a Zoo, they have a tour through the park on a tram, I was having a hard time holding the camera steady, with the size and weight of camera and lens and the vibration from the vehicle I had to crank my shutter speed way higher to compensate.
