Just as well I posted then, you've learnt something today!

In the US it can also be used as a noun, as with "you don't know squat".

Truly a word of many meanings and a plethora of useful uses :)

I don't normally go for centered compositions. This is a 30 second edit of a shoot a couple of hours ago, I'd love some CC!

- i think the colours and exposure is spot on
- i like the models location and pose
- her sweater having long sleeves maybe could have been pulled up a bit on her arms
- her facial expression is the problem

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

this is my first attempt at taking portaits. Also my first time using this helios 44-2 or a manual lens without a tripod... And my buddy has never done any posing or anything so it's all very new. I was mostly just focusing on where I was shooting and the background. I just really wanted the swirly...

Basically I have no idea what I'm doing...CC is very welcome!

also wanted to add, extreme head turning angles almost always present problems if model tries to look back at camera

same picture but
- shirt pulled up slightly showing a bit of mid section
- sleeves pulled up on a little on each side
- chin down slightly
- angle of face turned back slightly towards camera
- knees rotated a tiny bit camera right bringing more curvature to her torso (which is already great)
- legs crossed (left leg over right)
- water thrown on shirt
- 5/10 goes to 9/10
