Thanks Eddie. I didn't do too much in post outside of some tone control adjustments and saturation....but I did use darken/lighten center in Nik to darken the OOF areas and create more isolation between the lock and thee skyline in the background. I've been doing the same (though more subtly) with my portraits lately. I like that the falloff is much gentler than vignette so the effect isn't as obvious.

cancelled my 85GM order. as soon as the money is back, i'm ordering the batis 85. the extra money would go to the FE50mm f1.8.

Vinz, Although the GM seems like a superstar lens the Batis is no slouch and im sure you will pull the best out of it. I wouldnt risk the GM either untill these grinding issues are resolved

what's the smallest UWA zoom lens available for the a7 series? I have the 16-35/4 FE but wanted to know if theres 1 that is smaller - doesnt matter if manual but needs to be full frame....

yeah i read about the 10-18 - i wanted something i can use the full range though. The 16-35 is GREAT but when traveling light i am wondering if there's any other zoom i can take to further reduce the camera footprint. Weight is secondary.

Yep i saw the WATE as well but DAMNNNNN!!!! you know why..........

The WATE is a beast. Wish i had one but for the price you can technically get a car. You said lightweight? Well the 16-35 is not really a heavy lens. Its just a bit big thought...

Its nuts when you think of it like that. With how much GAS we all have here though im surprised none of us have never tried it

well speaking of new lenses I'm going 'old' and adding a Sony PZ 18-200.
A gift for Poof and her a6300....on the trip coming up she wants to do 4K video
and I'm thinking that might be a good travel video lens.
AND it just might work OK in crop mode on the A7Rii.

I use a Canon 18 200 on my a7 with the viltrox2 and it works pretty good. The image stabilization works good and the a7 actually records the proper exif data. I have that lens with me now while I am away working. It came with my 70d in the kit . it's a decent lens for stay what it is
