It's been a long time since my last post here. The 70D pretty much has the Sigma 150-600 permanently mounted for use as my wildlife camera, and I haven't had much time (or good weather) to catch any bird images. Finally had some time and sunshine today and, after nearly three hours in a blind, this was the best I got. There were lots of unobstructed perches with clean backgrounds available, but this guy wasn't having any of them.

Keep up the great work with the 70D, all. I check in every day to see it.

Nice shot Jeff! Do you live in Ontario? Ontario Cardinals only allow a good pic to be taken of them if there is a requisite tree branch across their body ;-)a

Nice Richard ~

Looks like we have similar waters but... the weather here is holding back spring and even the critters are a little grumpy ;-)a

Still very happy with it, Richard. Your results with the 120-300 make me a little jealous (and I would love a 2.8 fixed aperture!!) but I think the 600 holds up as one of the best performance vs. price values available.

Thanks, MM. You know all too well how rare a blue sky is!

Thank you, Will. I think that particular cardinal characteristic knows no borders!

Haha, yeah I live the grey dream almost daily.
So bad today I looked out and said forget it.
But we do what we have to do. I call the blue in this photo 'sky in a bottle'

Its a blue sky photo backdrop I hung on a metal frame realtors use.
Cheating? or wait for one of the 60 days I might have with decent blue?

Been thinking of doing something similar myself. Our four hours of blue sky for the month are over, and it's back to grey and rain today.
