I confess I'm not quite sure if this is allowed under the rules, but I thought I'd try.

absolutely allowed - after all, a scanner is just a large format, slow shutterspeed, digital box camera!

great result too....

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Thank you all who said nice things about and/or liked my cherry blossom tree.

I'm impressed by the many beautiful, not to mention creative shots with Lisa scanning even to make a photo! Very cool, Lisa.
Great work everybody.

Your whole series is wonderful, Jo, but this one is my absolute favourite. The light is breathtaking; it's as if you caught the sun itself in the heart of that flower. It's a beautiful shot.

I love the bokeh in this shot, InPhoto. Did you use a vintage lens, like one of the Trioplans maybe?

Thanks for the nice comments and Likes,

Thank You Levina.. It was just a few moments of sun. Those petals are tissue thin and smell heavenly, but the thorns are deadly.

Lisa, I love the concept and I'm sure it won't be the last time that method is used .. .. *heheheheh* :p

InPhoto, I too was taken by the bokeh in your shots. Is that some work in DPP or just the bokeh from the 50mm? I see it is shot @1.4.

Thank you, Kevin.
I like your set of blooms, the first is my favorite.

The rain has been minimal, but welcome. There was a break Saturday morning and I wandered around the yard and found these Blossoms.

Bautiful set, Joayne. I really like the colors of the soft pink in the first.

lavanut wrote in post #17967662 (external link)
I thought the image looked kinda neat though. I see a lot of possibilities with this kind of image capture.

I think it turned out really well, Lisa! Nice job.

Thank you Levina and Stina, it was the Trioplan's 100mm/2.8 unique bokeh.

Some simple photos
