I wasn't going to get one (85mm), as most of you probably remember from my long thread.

But, I found one for about $3,300, shipped -- with a $100 filter that I would have bought anyway. :) It was too good to pass up.
I'm the happy owner of an 85mm otus! Waiting for it to arrive.

Oh, and my 6D now has Focus Peaking. ;)

I knew you'd get one from your thread regarding the cost. Enjoy it!

I had firmly decided not to get one at the original cost; I had already spent too much money to do so. However, I found one at a price I could swallow!! :D

And thank you, I hope to enjoy it very much. :)

I wonder how the 28 performs, haven't seen any test data.

Anecdotally it is very sharp, but there is a bit of a flare problem with some pinpoint light sources.

These are at f/2.2. Moderate difference in sharpness, nothing major. At f/1.4, which is what I wanted to shoot, I expect the difference to be obvious.

Unfortunately, I didn't know I needed a sync cable to shoot my 360 with HSS, so I wasn't able to go wider.

They do seem very, very sharp! The first one has a not rounded bokeh ball. I'm guessing the aperture was a little more closed up. But you can count the lashes! I'm glad it wasn't a picture of a cat. :-)
Will be waiting for some more.

How do you feel? Are you having buyers remorse?

A little, haven't used it enough to conclude I regret it. I still have barely gotten to use it at f/1.4, which is what I wanted it for chiefly. :) I hope to post a comparison of that, when I can.

I think that as long as I get many opportunities to use it @ f/1.4, I will be happy with it.

My sigma required MF this way too, because it too often missed. So, that makes me feel a lot better.

Still wish Zeiss did (good) AF, lol. At least the focus ring is obviously lighter/easier on this one than on my sonnar. I even think it's easier than the sigma's ring, but the travel is significantly longer.

I might get a new focus screen. :)
