I love the size and feel of the 85, so I think I will like the IS model a lot more than my old f2.

Personally I love it on a crop camera, feels much more natural than say a 50mm on a crop for indoor shots. Indoor family shots might be a bit tight depending on the size of the room. Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! - Ansel Adams
