I love the size and feel of the 85, so I think I will like the IS model a lot more than my old f2.

The refurb 35mm f/2 IS I bought a few months ago sure seems to be - I don't see any flaws. Supposedly, Canon does a lot of testing on refurbs, perhaps more than on individual new items. This is the first refurb I have ever bought and I have no regrets (I got the $407 price at the time).

Hows the focal length on a 1.6 crop. I have the 24 STM pancake and its nice indoors with family shots when you don't have a lot of room.

Personally I love it on a crop camera, feels much more natural than say a 50mm on a crop for indoor shots. Indoor family shots might be a bit tight depending on the size of the room.

Looking forward to getting it on Wed/Thurs depending on if they require a signature. I'm interested to compare it to my old 35 f2 before I sell it.
