I have figured out since I joined this forum that Phil is the photographic equivalent of guitarist Danny Gatton. He was not well known by the public, but other, more famous guitarists were in his shadow and in awe of him. His nickname was "The Humbler" for his superhuman skills.

Whenever I think my images are improving, I see a set Phil posts here or on flickr and think "back to the drawing board. sigh."

"The greatest guitarist you've never heard of."

I have to agree with the anology to Danny Gatton. Never boring. Always pushing things for a little improvement. A tinkerer. And often with jaw-dropping results.

Thanks! Truth be told, I also get inspiration and ideas from others in this thread too.

QUOTED IMAGE

Like it. I was thinking to do a small compilation of all the 'no' signs on my daily lunch walk. No parking, No entry, No touching, etc... In 25 minutes, I saw enough negative signage that I lost count. Aside from a church in my loop and a number of restaurants, there is zero positive signage.
