I LOVE THIS CAMERA.... it feels so much more natural than the A6000 and was a joy to shoot with yesterday

Why does it feel 'more natural' ? Using an a6000 and really wondering if upgrading would be worth it (not planning soon, but gathering info)

I shoot mostly with a A7rII so menus and commands etc are more in line. It also is just a tad heavier but feels more solid. Its hard to explain but with the 6000 ...(which is being modded for Infra Red) I always felt I had to think and check things more.

When it comes to focus and the pics I really feel it is amazing. much snappier and just does it.

...Bah im bad at explaining.

These pics won't impress you but I'm impressed.
Poof's a6300 arrived today and I got to play.
First up was the 70-400gii via the LAEA3. The a6300 behaves exactly like the A7Rii with the beautiful little dancing AF green boxes and with the same limited AF modes but the huge difference between the a6300 and the A7Rii is the EVF refresh rate and at 120fps it is so DSLR like it is amazing. I've done BIF with the A7Rii and with the a6300 it will be like cheating. Next up was the FE 70-200/4 which has all of the focus modes available to native e-mount. The two shots below speak good of the 70-200 with such a gargantuan crop ---estimated distance to the bird 200 meters---but the a6300 in zone mode not only found the bird in AF-C but followed him for 20 shots even into a tree.
I'm not a huge birder or BIF'er but if Sony had a 400 or 100-400 native e-mount with the a6300 they could dramatically change the landscape of sports/BIF/and wildlife photography, simply amazing.

Yes! I'm glad I'm not alone. Looking forward to more pics

It will be hard for me to switch the 70-200 for the 70-300 the noon moving barrel and sharpness of the 70200 will be hard to improve on

Eriet I've decided no to the FE 70-300. I will patiently wait for the native 400 or 100-400.
It has got to be coming.
What I saw today, again I'm shaking my head. It was just amazing.
I think when I dream now it will be about a Canon 400/5.6 magically transformed via e-mount!

If you had to compare it to your 7d mk2 what's your verdict.
I was curious how this camera goes along with the new Sigma adapter for canon lenses, but i think it will loose to much on the focus speed.

Richard at this point (I've only had 30 min's with the a6300) I can say I love the weight/size. I've been in the Sony world since the Nex-5 so I'm familiar with the menus.
The AF system in many ways is leaps ahead of the Canon if simply for the sheer number of PDAF points spread across seemingly the whole field. I only used zone and loved how the points picked up on what was moving, i.e. the bird and concentrated on it.
Soon enough, 3-4 weeks a 1DXii will arrive--now that will be a hoot comparing the Flagship EOS to this little Sony!
Anything I say though about the a6300 is shadowed by Sony's lack of a native 100-400 or 400. And when it comes to accuracy in the AF at this point I can only guess. Yes it kept points on the bird but maybe not where I wanted them, but at the distance I was shooting I think that is probably moot.
Having said that one of the great photographers using a 7Dii and a 400DOii Romy told me he uses all the AF points and invariably will get the eye at 10fps (I'm paraphrasing a bit) and I expect the same with the a6300 at 8fps (continual focus).
I'll keep plugging along with it when Poof (the better half) allows; it is officially her camera ;)

Eriet snappier indeed. I have a6000 here. Difference is real. I just posted this up at DPreview and FredMiranda for those curious:

MikeDee NO !!!
The AF acquisition is wonderfully faster and I've got an a6000 sitting here too I just posted this at DPreview for those curious:
Few birds today BUT I am experimenting with the EOS lenses via MB T iv and the a6300.

First up the Canon 24-70/4 in MACRO mode. AF was remarkable. In normal (not macro mode) 24-70 AF acts native. If you don't know this lens it is one of the 'freak' lenses made by Canon that is a really sharp 24-70 but it has a switch on it labeled 'macro'. I think in macro mode it goes up to 0.7 something. Yes the a6300 in AF-C in center and wide modes was focusing macro

Please look at this pic via the Flickr link for better quality and EXIF (we all know what DPreview does to IQ):

https://www.flickr.com/photos/medicineman4040/26387898326/in/dateposted/

Though few birds I also tested the a6300 via MB T iv with an EOS 300mm IS ii. Results are uncanny! In wide focus mode hopping from targets 10 feet to 20 feet and back to 15 then to 30 then back to 12 (you get the idea) the focus aquisition is almost instant....way better/faster than with my A7Rii BUT BUT when in center AF mode there is some hunting but hunting I could live with, hunting that is way faster than the A7Rii....problem is wide mode doesn't always get me on the spot I would want like center mode BUT the a6300's brain eerily picks up what I wanted-almost like it has a crystal ball. More experiments with the 300mm to come.

If I post a pic over at DPreview I try to post a direct link to the image. DPreview really
screws up the image. POTN is way better but FredMiranda is the best. I never understood the size limits
here when really Flickr is hosting the image?
Matters not. The a6300 will undergo app baptism tonight and get a belly full of Playmemories :)

Eriet, asking if the a6300 is mine? No. It's the better half's :)
But I have HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE news.
a6300 + Metabones T iv + EOS 300mm IS ii
in AF-C Center Mode I'm getting as close to native as an adapted lens can be I imagine. I focused at 15 feet, 30 feet, 20 feet back to 30 then to 15; each time focus acquisition was fast.
I am extremely pleased. It is way way better than on my A7Rii.
BIF capable ???
I think so, my gut says yes, but remember only in Center Mode, Wide, of Flexible Spot. Zone would have been real nice but
I'm still very very impressed.
I'll try with a EOS 400DOii when time permits.

I have the Kipon adapter for my micro 4/3 cameras and my Canon lenses focus quite fast, the one thing about my Sony ɑ6000 that disappointed me was that the AF did not work well with my Canon lenses. I thought he ɑ6300 would have been perfect if it had IBIS and when I found out it was not going to get it I was content to just keep my ɑ6000, now seeing all these glowing reviews lately for the ɑ6300 have me tempted to spend more money.
