^ good tips. Thank you.

Went out shooting last night. I had forgotten how much the EVF struggles at night when trying to manually focus.

In those instances, its usually so dark that it'd be hard to MF with an OVF too.

Makes you appreciate how good these highly sensitive AF systems are.

FDn 200 f4 @f4. Nice for long distance landscapes, sharp small, and cheap, cost $50 shipped.

This is my 3rd 200 prime and it's a keeper. I assumed that since it was 2/3 stop faster than the om 200f5, that it would be noticeably bigger. Good thing I was wrong. When adapted, it's only a few mm longer, better focus throw, better optics, color, and bokeh.

What is that website you can compare lens sizes on? I know about camerasize website but it only seems to show bodies. I've seen people link to sites that also compare lenses on the bodies

Man the batis lenses are calling my name. My GAS thoughts are in overdrive. I love my sigma 85 but the more I think about a smaller, lighter, native, eye af capable lens the more im drawn to it. 25mm is wider than I like (prefer 35/85 combo) but even being drawn to that one too thanks to carlo and genes images. It would mean selling the FE 28 though which I like but doesn't feel special. If I went that route I'd have to work out what to do with my sigma 35, would it be overkill having 25/35/55/85? (The 55 is a keeper). Or do I sell the sigma 35 in favour of the batis 25 and then swap it out for the batis 35 when its finally released? Then the batis 18 (which I thought was pointless at first). If its optically superb it could potentially replace my canon 16-35

Gas!

you can get some nice bargains with vintage glass.

got the om 24 which is sharp at landscape apertures, hard to differentiate between the 24-70ii, $100 for the multicoated version, nice and small.

To the folks who have 8 or more lenses. Doesn't that make everything a lot more complicated? As in: the constant battle of choosing which lens(es) to take with you?

No its very easy. After time u know what to expect from each lens. Simply pick the lens or lenses for what ever your day or trip will consist of. I prob have 20 lenses some get used more than others but I'll take my fave 2 or 3 for a day hike.
