Going to my photos of WA, I thought I'll post this one. I think it's a treekeeper, but can't find it exactly the same in my birdbook.

Try Grey Shrike-thrush, Lyn.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

thanks, I think you are right Shorty, it's the western form of the Grey Shrike-trush. That's typical, because a couple of weeks ago I posted here also a pic from the standard Grey Shrike-thrush,but I thought that one was larger.

I've been watching a pair of local Ospreys since last Friday. Frustrating that the closest I can get (without a boat) is 350 metres away.
So far bad light, overcast and this afternoon light rain. It's been a real show, catching fish, chasing off a Square-tailed kite and a white-bellied sea eagle. Today both Osprey chasing crows and the crows were giving chase back in groups of 2 or 3.

I have been using Sigma 150-600 S with EF 1.4TCII and 7D2. Even a 1200mm lens would be too short but I'll take whatever I can get.
This afternoon.

Yesterday's spectacular show.

I was out with a mate and we were lucky enough to catch a very large flock (estimated at 5000) of Carnaby cockatoos flying in to roost for the night. This photo was taken after the sun had set.
