Gene thats no excuse for a old navy man;-)a

You're absolutely right, they'd never let me off the ship with my hair looking like that when I was in the Navy.

Thank goodness I'm not anymore. ;-)a

Err, by full set I assume you mean a full head of hair...as apposed to a full set of teeth! -?

Here's a photo of me when I was stationed at Pearl Harbor. I was there from 1964 to 1966. I'll also include a link to a story of mine with more photos, from Boot Camp through the USS Oriskany.

The only time we were allowed to grow a beard/mustache was when we were at sea. For example, during the long periods when we launched aircraft flying missions over North Vietnam. Usually there would be a beard growing contest of one kind or another throughout the ship. When the ship returned to port, off went the beards and mustaches.

By Thursday, there's a good chance of rain over the course of several days so I took advantage of the warm weather today...

Grilled ribeye steak topped with a garlic butter sauce and home grown green onions. Served with green beans and potatoes on the side.

Gorgeous lighting!

What was the main modifier?

Thanks! I just saw this. I believe it was a 16" beauty dish and reflector in clamshell configuration. Then a red gelled strobe bouncing off the wall camera right.
