We still have the a6000. IQ difference is not vast. ISO performance is better ...I think the 'experts' are saying 1 stop.
I think the AF is the killer on the 63. Body does feel nicer/heftier in a good way and the added switch on the back is nice.
Poof bought the 63 to gain access to all my Sony lenses. If it was me I wouldn't have upgraded.
I think tomorrow she is to venture into 4K land with it and have a go. I want to put a 400mm on it and see if the AF
is as good as with the 300.

UGH .... I never got the metabones I bought a commlite and ended up with a second comlite on a body transaction so I ened up with 2 commlites and have never gone to a meta.

I still would have a hard time adding an eos lens.... I will look at your 400 results but dang.

Might get to shoot tomorrow and get some more time learning to love the 63

I should have emphasized MY copy. I felt so disappointed with the Metabones in the A7R original, since then I have
to preference/caution/warn/wonder=me bing gunshy about getitng my hopes up.
And Eriet reality is it is fun since we have some EOS lenses to test them, get a shot every now and then, use if you had
to.
I understand Metabones being a 'bridge' for Canon users to migrate over to Sony but I was already at home in both
countries--no reason for me to say I can see Sony from where I live ;)

So I up and pre-ordered the FE 70-300....me Mr. spineless saying I wouldn't, not long enough. Plenty of excuses none will
matter by the time I'm 64.

And this past March we were at Viera Wetlands in Florida along with the two aligator parks. the 70-300 on the 63 would have done
outstanding focal length wise. So poof can use it there next time we go.

anyone try the a6300 with the 70-200 f2.8II yet? If it works well I might scrap my plans to sell it and get an a6300 instead!

These were taken with ef 70-200 F2.8 L MK I with 1.4X TC MK III. Most were taken in overcast twilight conditions therefore somewhat noisy, but the Phase detection autofocus was mostly spot on and quick through out the focal length on the Metabones MK IV T.

Here are two more high iso examples of the same combination. The Red Whiskered Bul Bul is from about 100 ft.

Tested a6300 + MB T iv + 400DOii
Results are great, if not a tid slower than with the 300mm.
For point to point shooting at 15 feet then 20 feet then almost MFD then up to 30 feet etc. focus was fast
enough to get several birds and this vermin-

I've got to get to a carnival or fair, those are awesome Eriet!

So I thought why not try the a6300 on the Milky Way?
The light in the middle by the lake is my house.
Yes I know the stars aren't perfectly round :( That is an old age problem)

Haven't been much a bird photographer in the past but thought it would be a good test of AF for the A6300 with adapted lens. This might be a new hobby from now on!

Couple more from the same session. Using AFC with Wide area selected shooting burst of 5-6 shots I'm getting about 30% of the shots focused like the photos posted here. Don't think it's the camera's fault. I need much more practice tracking the birds.

From a recent business trip. Maastricht, Netherlands.

Only had 1-2 hours to tour, so very rushed quick images.
