u can use any lights for the continous.. those are ones i have access to thru work but u can easily anything that has a decent color temp... there are some led works lights at costco for like $40 each that are 6500K and throw alot of light that you can use with distance or with a scrim over the front to cut down the light...

What do people use to trigger their ABR800 when the camera is mounted to it?

It seems like a cable would be the best way to go. Is there a hot shoe to 3.5mm adapter that people use/recommend? Or other corded solutions?


I've been using a single pocket wizard and a 3.5mm cord, but I still have issues syncing at 1/250th with that setup.

Yeah, it even comes with one of those, huh? Crap, I don't think my Sony A7rii has a PC sync port.


Edit: just bought one of these bad boys. I think that should solve the issue. (I hope.)

You would have issues as the sync speed for the 5DIII is 1/200. The problem isn't the triggering method
