Maureen, I can't begin to tell you how many times I went back and forth between yours and teekay's. :-)

Kudos, Maureen. Great shot.

Jim, love the ring on the denim. Nicely done.

Such a collection of interesting and varied macros! Congratulations to the winners and thanks to Jim for making those dificult decisions.

Another view of that mystery cone. It's close to spherical, with an almost flat bottom. I think it fell off a tall tree with blue needles. The surface underneath is walnut.

OK, show of hands - how many of you thought to yourself that you're glad you're not judging this week?
I thought so :-)

That is for sure. Thanks for the 3rd place.

Congratulations to Maureen and thanks for the #2 spot, Raven. I never thought I'd get near the podium this week as I truly thought nearly all the entries were better than mine. That ant shot was nothing much compared to the video I took there of the seething mass of activity.

BTW Oh Look, I also took some macros of pine cones but they weren't nearly as good as yours so I trashed them.

Congratulations to 3rd Place: Sibil, 2nd Place: teekay, and 1st Place: Maureen! Jim you are right...so many amazing entries this week...you had real challenge picking the top three!

And, congratulations to all the players...such beautiful entries!

Yesterday I retired my faithful G11 and will start on a new photographic journey with my newly acquired G5X which arrived yesterday via USPS :-). The EVF and articulating LCD Touch screen were the deal makers for me on this upgrade. I also considered the G9X and the G7X MKII.

Jim -- I keep the G5X in the Glove Box just in case!

Thanks, Mark :-) I made that shot with the ring sitting on my knee :-) The G-Series can produce tack sharp photos!
