First weevil I have seen in 2016. Was on the bin originally but it fell off when I poked it with a bit of grass, so it ended up on a house brick which gave it a more natural background anyway!

f/11, 1/250sec, ISO 125, Venus 60mm on the 70D.

Cool Rose! I have yet to attempt it more than half-heartedly.

Well done ~

Napier today - been wanting to try long exposures for a while. A bit brighter than I anticipated, tried to keep horizons and backgrounds out. Haida 10 stop, Sigma 18 - 35 f/1.8

Hello guys,

I have 70D by a year now (how time flies :-) ), but I have still mixed feeling from it. I´m doing something wrong, which is causing, that I´m not really satisfied with the photos I´m doing :-) And I need some help :D

I find my photos a lot grainy and grayish. Like they are underexposed, but even if I do the exposure compensation, it´s still there. Also I find the IQ kida bad, like they lack details, the edges are not clear and they "melt together" :D The pictures are somehow bad in term of sharpness. And the colors are pale. The technical quality Im getting is bad.

I tried RAW, I tried manual, I tried Exposing to the right, different picture styles, but I can´ t get it right.

I transfered from NX11 and 600D and I´m kinda shocked, how I cant do the same images with 70D :D I need proffesional help, because Im starting to have nightmares about it :D

Here are some examples of probles Im having.

Grayish photos
https://www.flickr.com …25681190@N03/24283075900/ (external link)
https://www.flickr.com …25681190@N03/25957144262/ (external link)

Pale photos, lack of detail
https://www.flickr.com …/album-72157654801452879/ (external link)
https://www.flickr.com …307493132/in/photostream/ (external link)

I notice, that on 70D I have big differences betwen lights and shadows, like here and all over the album
https://www.flickr.com …/album-72157653558647970/ (external link)
Overexposed wings, rest underexposed and dark. When I try to compensate, I get it worse once or another.

When I try to sharpen the photos, I get jaggies, when I dont its unsharp. Mainly on my 10-18 STM

Hey just wanted to follow up with this in case someone else has this focus problem. I bought another 70D it came yesterday so i looked it over and over and found on my old one the last contact on the body was stuck in. Not sure why or how it got stuck. But i took a safety pin and popped it out and it focus great. Just hope thos helps anyone that has or had that same problem.
