Great shot.

This nest building that birds do amazes me. How do they select the right spot, know the right twigs, and know how to place them to have a stable and secure nest? I don't think I could do it, and my brain is bigger than theirs.

Fun with layers.... :)

This is one of a pair of Blue Tits that are building a nest in my neighbours wall where the header tank overflow pipe used to be. So two consecutive frames using my 7DII and 100-400II composited into a single image.

Big crop, almost 100%

The last call. This one was the last to fledge and has joined its siblings in the trees. It was great fun to follow this nest and watch them grow.

Thanks Archibald. Wish I knew how everything works at the rookery. I'm so blessed to live near a world class wading bird area.
Can't wait to get back again tomorrow morning.

Take care
