A 4-day old X-T1 owner and I am sold - it passed cat's whisker test with flying colors.
Have XF23 on order already - let's see what a prime lens can bring to raise the game :-)

Good job of balancing the ambient light. What lens are you using now on your XT1?

Thank you. I took advantage of $300 off promotion in the US and bought myself an X-T1 w/ 18-55 "kit" lens. Also, with this series, I tried 400% DRE with auto iso, although it was taken in RAW. I think it did make some difference as I was able to extract quite a lot of detail from seemingly blown out areas.
Very pleased with IQ of Xtrans sensor - there is XF23 on its way as I speak as well :-)

Thank you. The decision was practical, based on having a good hard look at Sony system and if it translated to weight/size savings over Canon especially with the lenses I would plan to use for events and travel. After the last event I covered with 5DIII and A7RII, my wrist felt numb - mild carpal tunnel syndrome I could still feel at times and I felt the need for a smaller equipment that is less taxing for my arms and the rest of my body, with an added benefit of weaving through the crowd with ease.

For now, I would continue to take the Sony or Canon with the Fuji to an event, but when X-T2 comes out, I could probably go 100% Fuji. Sony and Canon would continue to be used for architecture, interiors, and landscape where camera rests on tripod most of the time and when a FF sensor is truly needed.

While the initial intent to try Fuji was purely pragmatic, ensuing impressions have been visceral beginning with its dial controls that remind me of the first cameras I've handled and quality of images that evokes a sense of nostalgia.

I look forward to reading your posts more than ever regarding your cameras over at A7 forums as well as here.
