Here is my full image of Jupiter- no cropping as I did in the other picture. I did resize the image to post here.
My original format is Raw, but I have almost no experience working with a Raw image sad to say.

From Sunday Night - Moon and Jupiter

I shot this in Raw and Jpeg. I found it interesting that when I looked at the image of Jupiter on my LCD screen of my 60D I could easily see the rings of Jupiter. When I copied the images to my computer and looked at the Jpeg images, Jupiter was just a big white blurr. When I looked at the Raw images on my computer, THEN I could see the rings!

As you can tell I don't have a lot of experience with Raw, but I need to learn more.

I used my Sigma 150-500 at 500 and I also had my Kenko 1.4 TC attached.

Both images taken at 1/500 and f6.3 ISO 400

I shot an image of Jupiter years ago, similar to this, but I had moons in it I think...can't find the bloody thing now...

...anywho, Jupiter doesn't have rings...they are called bands (as in cloud bands)....

Nice shot by the way!

Full moon rising tonight over the Sandia mountains. Pictured to the left of the full moon is the Kiwanis Cabin, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1936. The altitude of the hut is about 10,600 feet above sea level.

Charles, You beat me to it!
I know occasionally what to drink to see two moons instead of one, but what is that folks drink in lower earth that makes them see upside down moon all the time!!!!;)

Both moons are very crisp, very sharp.

The best thing is both these moons are pointing in the CORRECT direction!!!!!!! ;-)a
