The Batis 85 is now in my hands too. After having these lenses for all of an hour I already want the 18 even more than I previously did. Been taking random shots around the house and the lenses feel great. Eye AF on an 85mm is amazing!. At first I thought the 85 was quite big and heavy then I lifted my sigma 85 out the bag with the metabones attached! Its almost twice the weight according to the scales. Also even with the hood attached the 85 is only slightly longer than the adapted sigma. These might be the first ever lenses I actually use the hoods with

let me know how you like the 85, i might sell that 85L 1.2 Mark I I have

EDIT - When you click "connect a camera" via the website it trys to install PC software. Im on mac and cant see a mac option

Eddie, on your Mac try setting up your account and add a credit card. Then try to download using wifi on your camera. I could not get the downloader program to install on my PC.

Its so infuriating. I found (eventually) the mac software. The installation process completes and then I cant see the app in the applications list on my mac

Yes very frustrating. I spent a few days getting it to work on my PC and gave up. Wifi should work on your camera. Just a pain typing in your login info from the camera.

Is your camera connected to wifi?

Perhaps Sony paid apps are not available in your country???

It appears on the camera, I click proceed to payment, it asks for my login details, I click submit and then I'm inside the store and no apps are listed. It's like hdtvs, play stations etc. I've gave up

Thank you guys! :)

Yes, Travis, I am all too frequently guilty of being pessimistic. I was just feeling unproductive on a day-by-day basis expecting more from myself, but afterwards was relieved to see a few goodies had been collected. Even at the time I had been optimistic about the Ravenel Bridge shot. The PhotoPills app was invaluable for positioning my camera so the sunset would backlight the bridge. The bugs nearly ate me alive while waiting for the sun to drop below the horizon. :)

Skin-So-Soft is the key to surviving s.Carolina. It is a miracle product
that saved me more than one in the swamps and on the coast there
and in the Tybee area of Georgia....ask any marine who's been to
Paris Island....it is magic on No-see-ums.
