out for delivery. silly brown truck. it's always slow... :(

Lol I'm impatient. I live near a hub so I usually have UPS hold it (you can do this online) and pick it up myself in the morning.

Yeah I used to do that when I worked at a smaller company and could simply walk up to the mail-room guys and get my stuff.

But now I work for at the main office of a large company and with that comes bureaucracy that can make something as simple as claiming a package a PITA. Last time I shipped something here it got lost in the shuffle for two days, so I stopped doing that lol.

I've done that in the past - it was iPhone4. Happen to see a brown delivery truck in an oncoming traffic on my way home. When I got home, saw the door tag. Peeled off the tag from the door and chased the truck down since I recognized the driver and I knew our address is among his route. Managed to catch up with the delivery guy about three miles from home :-D

These days, I have any package requiring signature held at UPS Customer and Distribution Center nearby or have it sent to FedEX Office if it's a FedEx delivery and once it's ready for a pick up, I'll receive text message. That way, I don't have to be confined to a room that has the view out to the driveway or feel like I've been put under house arrest.

Great tip...I'll have to try it. I had bug spray in the car, but failed to take it with me.

LOL "house arrest"... at least i can maybe pickup some beers.....

I did that too. I called the UPS office and they called the driver. The driver told us where he was so I was gonna chase him there. to my surprise he came back to deliver before i left.

I used it before Avon acknowledged it being used as a bug repellent. Originally sold as a bath oil, it works great as a bug repellent when cut with a little water and put in a spray bottle. Yep, even the Marines use it. ;-)a

Skin so soft is a good defence against the scottish midge too

Frustrating night for me. Couldnt get the smooth reflections app installed before I headed out for sunset, then got to the location below and as I was standing waiting on the light to get better 3 cars full of neds (scottish word for hoodlums, chavs etc) arrived and parked up right beside me and got out and started messing about. I felt a bit uneasy so ended up packing up and heading off in the car. About 5 mins later the light was amazing pouring over the hills, a really intense orange glow and pink clouds. I was driving unfortunately.

This was the best I got prior to that. This location has potential I think so will revisit. The smooth reflection app would have been handy (or me remembering to buy the correct size step up ring)

Personally I love those clouds and wouldn't want to see them blurred away with a LE...happy mistake imo. Only thing I would do differently is clone out the contrail. Beautiful capture!

Thanks David, weird purple thing going on beside the contrail too. Will need to check if that was due to editing.

On another note I tried two different things with this lens. I tried my normal focussing method of focussing at hyperfocal (easy with the OLED display) and then I took the same shot focussed at infinity. When reviewing the images zoomed on the cameras LCD the infinity shot was noticably sharper even in the foreground. Cant really work this out. I thought it would be weaker at close distances than the hyperfocal version? Is this why on FM forum they always test lenses focused at infinity? Have I been missing a trick for years?
