I hope this lens is as good as your Loxia 21.. :) You and Carlo have been producing some fantastic images with L21.

Really appreciate it! I could see myself owning the Batis 18 too down the road. I hope it's a super performer too.

Thanks! Really enjoying the lens. It's my first super/ultra wide angle prime.

First shot was an 8 second exposure, but I found the texture of water of the short exposure more interesting:

I really dont like the phoblographers reviews for some reason. Uninspiring images and not much content or insight. What's that tea story all about?

I am however really considering this lens. The 16-35 would have to go for it though and that's the bit im unsure of

Yeah that part was lame. Lots of images but nothing really stood out to me. Ok I take it back. It's not a great review of the lens. Haha.

I would need to sell my canon 16-35L as well. Will sit back and see what happens. 15mm would be ideal for me.

wow...I could do a better review...maybe I should try to get into that side of things...LOL...I still want to see how it does for astro...I just don't know if I would want to give up the speed of the Sigma to gain that extra 2mm FoV...

An actual astro lens is the one thing missing in my kit (that I want). But every time I think about giving selling something in my bag to pay for it, I can't go through with it. The Sigma 20 or SY/Rok 24 would be great. Actually I would prefer a Rok 14/24mm combo for an astro kit.

I am a little less tempted by batis today, figured out how to make a distortion correction profile for use with lightroom, my OM 24mm is usable now as it can turn a curvy brick wall, straight. Really happy with the trick, which will keep the gear lust at bay for about a week or so :-P

Just acquired the 90mm f.2.8. Here is a quick test shot. I am amazed by the sharpness. This was at 2000 ISO also.

Sony is such a money pit....because we've been getting barraged by really nice lenses and bodies left and right for the past year. It's a good problem to have but man the struggle to stay away is real lol.
