A question: I know some of you have the 6D and 7D2 combination. Do you notice any difference in the way the cameras handle color? The reason I ask is I'm seeing a bit of difference between my 1D IV and the photos produced by my no longer owned 7D2.

So I was wondering if there is any difference between the 6D and 7D2, if you have both.

I have both, and there is little difference between a well-exposed Raw image taken with either camera. Any unsubtle differences are likely to be the result of underexposure and post-correction, or using different processing. Given the same lens and subject distance, the 7D2 will put more pixels on target, which may give you a different grain structure in the shadows; and if pushed it will also have a slightly lower DR. The 7D2 has dramatically lower thermal and photon (shot) noise, which will affect long exposures at high ISO differently. Short exposures may favor the 6D due to the larger pixels.

Both sensors are excellent when used properly...

I have had similar experience to GregDunn. There may be an every so slight different in color rendering, but nothing I can't correct with a little bump in saturation in LR. The main differences can definitely be seen at higher ISO. The 6D handles if better and maintains color and reduces noise above about 12800. I have to really crank up the NR on the 7D2 images which smooths them out and the DR is less on the 7D2 at those higher numbers.
But side by side with a low ISO, there is very little difference between the two.
At least that has been my experience.

Wow! You perfectly captured this beautiful place. 6D is a very handy tool while working on high ISO, though.

Was there so empty or it's just an impression?

Well done!

Thanks! This place was huge and it was hard to imagine that it was not discovered until 2005-6 I believe. There were a fair number of us that hiked up a steep trail to get to it. I managed to find angles and spots without the people.
Prior to my trip I picked up a Rokinon 14mm 2.8 to go with my Tammy 28-75 2.8. Both of them really worked well with the 6D in these low light situations. This was my first real time using the 6D since picking it up in late Oct so initially I was a little hesitant about the ISO. I used 4-5000 at the first cave we went to in Halong Bay. After seeing those results, I was really happy to push things to 8,000-10,000 ISO in the caves in Phong Nha.
