Cool, thanks for commenting.

I normally like to take natural light shots, but some specimens move too much to stack.

I am using the Wimberley F-2 Macro Bracket and Vello Softbox to elevate and diffuse the flash.

Just trying to get the distance/settings right :)

She is a Green Lynx, but the only Peucetia longipalpis (external link) I've found.

Peucetia viridans (external link) is much more common.

Thank you.

My goal here was to juxtapose some challenging colors together, and see how my new flash system handled them.

As you know, reds, fuchsias, yellows, and greens can all be problematic in natural light ... let alone when taken by flash.

Can't say I really like the image (it's too busy for my taste), but I think the lack of perceiving any flash input was a triumph under so many challenges in 1 image :-P
