I've been getting used to the menus and custom functions - I'm having trouble setting the AF point using the multi-controller alone - it needs me to hit the AF button in order for the multi-controller to become active.

This wasn't the case with a 5Dc, 40D and 50D I've used. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Picked up a 1Ds iii recently to take the place of my 1Ds ii. Primarily upgraded so that I can have a view screen on the back that I can actually see as my eyes are not nearly as good as they used to be. I'm looking forward to putting it through its passes in the coming week on a trip into Canada so will try to post up some pics to this thread when I get back.

I am wondering for those of you who made a similar move if there were things that you found the iii could do that were beyond what you expected?

Hey all - DPP4 is available for 1Ds3 now. Don't know if I'm late to the party with this, but it's news to me anyway!

I can buy one of these for 600 euro. Would that be a good deal? Is this camera still worth buying?
