So I wanted to order my 7D2 this week from BH but they are closed and so is Adorama for the printer deal. So I am just going to order one of the deals of the body only for $1200 how many did the same purchase . My biggest concern is they are non US models and if I get one of the focus issue bodies dont know if canon will work on it for free

My gear
Fuji X-T2, Fuji 18-55 2.8-4 OIS, Fuji 35 f2, Fuji 50 f2, Fuji 90 f2, Fuji 55-200 3.5-4.8 OIS
Sony RX100 II

I purchased ALL my Canon gear off ebay, no regrets yet. I continue to purchase what I need from an 85 1.8 portrait lens to a parabolic umbrella and 2 T5I's and 50D, no regrets. Not to say you won't, that is just my experience.

Ordered one last week for $1220. I got the free shipping (read cheap skate), so I'll not see it until late this week at the earliest. As of this writing, they have one left so I didn't bother posting the link.

I wonder if we ordered from the same dude? I noticed this week, the one he had left was $30 more than the one I ordered.
Glad to hear your purchase has worked out! lol.

Interesting. I've never purchased anything off of ebay. How do you know the item isn't stolen?

Trust and feedback. If you do some basic homework, check feedbacks and ebay ratings, it's pretty easy to see who is reputable and who isn't. In the stretch of the question, how do you know the gear you purchase here or any other forum also isn't stolen? If they're selling hot gear, it will come to light pretty quickly, and they will disappear even faster. I would be more concerned with CL than I would be with ebay. I use ebay from time to time and never had an issue. My friends have the same experience.

I bought my 7D2 used off eBay, it was listed as clean without any damage cosmetic or otherwise, and that was the case when it arrived. Listing said unknown shutter count which gave me pause, but it turned out to only have about 3k shutter actuations, and for the $900 I paid for it I feel like I got a great deal! That was my first used camera gear purchase but I will certainly be buying used again.

Funnily enough I didn't get my 7D2 off E Bay as it was cheaper from a well known UK grey importer here in the UK - $961 (at today's rates) bought back in Dec 2015' However my 1DX (new), 300 F2.8 L IS (used), 800 F2.5 L IS (used), 24-70 F2.8 L V2 (new), Wimberley 2 (used), previous 400 F2.8 L (used), Gitzo 1550T (used) and quite a bit more stuff was sourced from E Bay.

I would never have the gear that I currently use without E Bay!
