They are the Ruger ARX 9mm Luger +P

So they are 9×19mm, but in a hot load with a funny bullet. I have to say it has been a while, nearly 20 years since I shot a handgun that wasn't a muzzle loader, and there aren't any 9mm underlever/bolt action carbines available that I know of. So no contact with 9mm. I always preferred to shoot a revolver in .38/.357 and had a 6" S&W 586 with the Pachmayr's on it.

I was never a fan of 9mm especially, I just didn't like the way it felt in the hand when shooting it. Especially my old man's hand loads with 5 grains of Vit N310 :evil::-xvmad personally I would have preferred he used 2 grains of powder instead to avoid the drama. At least it didn't do any permanent damage to me or the gun, but it was a bit of a brown trouser moment. .45 ACP in a nice loose early 1911 on the other hand could be fun to shoot.

This trigger puts the shield on a different level. If you don't plan on buying one, don't try someone else's because you'll hate the stock after.

My son just picked up the S&W Shield in 9mm. He test drove it at a local indoor range and liked it a lot. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but looking forward to it.

Nice shot. I had to snicker at the caution notice printed on it, though! ; D

At least its better than how Ruger is defacing the otherwise gorgeous GP100's now.
