Cybershot RX100 - post pictures and discussions from either versions

Today, I received the RX100 IV, LCS-RXG soft leather vertical case, ACC-TRBX battery + charger kit, and the AG-R2 grip. Wow! What a nice little kit. The handling is better than I thought with the added grip, the EVF works well, and I like being able to tuck it back out of the way when not in use. Bounce flash is also a nice feature.

Haven't really shot much with it yet (giving the grip some time to adhere and batteries to charge), but hope to post some images here soon. The only negative is there appears to be a big learning curve with the menus and all of the features coming from Canon.

This might be of interest to anyone in the UK, my RX100III developed a shutter/ lens fault last week where the lens and shutter wouldn't open correctly. Nothing I could do to fix it so I contacted Sony support in Wales. They took details and emailed me a freepost label so send it in. I got a response within 3 days to say they could repair it for £117 which, considering it was well out of warranty and useless as it was, seemed reasonable. Paid by card and had it back good as new within a week of contacting them. Decent service I'd say.

Ive been thinking of selling my MK1 rx100 just because its getting older in age. But I keep getting reminded of how great a camera it is for its tiny size

Flying Scotsman, recently restored famous steam engine, on the North York Moors Raiway. Grab shot while being jostled in a crowd of sightseers. A little work in LR but this is about a 60% crop of the original image area!
