Also, I wonder how long before the flight pack is designed and working, that would be phenomenal!

Probably too much of a hazard to create such a thing. I'd recommend (if flying is at all in the future) using a cable rig design for outdoor use and incorporate some lighting in the feet and hands with triggers to control the lighting for simulated controlled flight. :)

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!

Thanks gang! :D

Lots of little angles, corners and details to get into. Difficult.

Someone was also asking what paint I was using to get the desired colour and metallic anodise colour right.

I've got some people coming over tomorrow night to see the suit - not bits of a suit, so I put him all back together again.

I haven't painted the rim of the camera in the matching gold yet nor have I covered the tiny lens in gold film, but I can tell you already that with the eyes lit up, you can't see it at all! Winnin'!

^^^ Ta mate. :D

Chest painted. The expensive, "Low tac" painters tape I used to mask off the gold still left residue. I'll fix it up later..

very nice... looks almost poppy-coloured!

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

It's a pain in the butt trying to get some shed time these days! Seems between ten and midnight a couple of times a week is about all I get anymore!

Finally got my good friend James in for a few hours tonight to consolodate some of the electronics in the helmet. He managed to reduce our tangled birds-nest of wire down to a very tight little unit.

Still more to go, but very promising so far.
