Got my tracking number from Adorama but it doesn't register with UPS yet. It's been 2 days. :(

Because it hasn't been picked up by UPS yet. Everything is shipping Monday, per their website note. Adoroma has a UPS ship manager computer that prints the shipping label but that number won't be active until UPS picks up the package and starts the scanning. This is the same scenario for the shipping company I used to work for, only we used Fedex.

I was interested to see how the AD600 can keep up with Hi burst mode on a Sony A7RII.
At 1/16 power it kept up till the buffer was full. 11 frames of uncompressed raw.
At 1/8 power it kept up for 5 frames.

In Lo burst mode it filled the buffer at 1/4 power. 14 frames of uncompressed raw.

David,

Very impressive. Are you using the X1 (R2) for a trigger or one of the on board flashes? I am thinking about ordering the Sony XPLOR 600 HSS bundle from Adorama with the included R2 but I think you said they sent you the flash with the transmitter. Would not do me much good if I can't trigger it :)

Still struggling with XPlor 600 versus the 360II just because i like the lighter weight of the 360. However I think I am finding everyone's comments convincing about the advantages of the 600 including masking, speed of recharge, and the remote head allowing for getting the weight off the top of the strobe. I guess I could get away with a much smaller light stand this way.

Jim

Jim,
I did this test with the X1Ts beta that Edward sent me for testing. It should deliver the same results using a speedlite as a trigger.

I have a couple of remote heads coming. They should be here Monday or Tuesday. When they arrive I'll do a comparison between the 600 with remote, the 360 with battery pack and the older version CL 600 that I have.
