It looks good. When shooting prop planes you get a nicer look with more prop blur. Typically a minimal shutter speed of 1/320 was recommended when I was expiating this. I find you need even slower than that which makes it tougher because you need to be steadier. Just in case you want to experiment more but there is nothing with your shot.

The prop blur did cross my mind and that is one of the reasons I used this shot for posting. The runway was perpendicular to my shooting position so this shot presented the best angle before the plane got too far away. I couldn't operate the zoom with my left hand because it was through the fence supporting the lens. My main thought was to try and get a sharp shot. As a result the second set of shots were at 1/1250sec although they didn't come out any sharper. Once my hit rate improves I can look at 'special' effects. :-)

I still need a lot of practice with my panning technique. I have also picked up a gimbal head to try and mitigate some of my hand holding problems with the tamron.

I'm not very good at that. I'm shaky and still working on it. :-)

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile. I am already looking for ways to improve upon this shot. And there are lots of improvements I can find. But I definitely appreciate the kind words, tremendously.

Luck you to have found an Owl's nest. I'd be there just about every day that I could to document there growth.

Well .....it's been a long time since someone so nicely called me a Weasel lol. I think Guy I have shot nine different Pine Marten this winter. They do look very cute face on,...but when you see them to the side it all come's into focus..or well the claw's come into focus. While I would kill to hold one of the Pine Marten I shoot,....They would rip me to shreds in second's

If they are anything like one of those Badgers, I'd give them all the room they need.

Originally went to shoot some surfing but the waves were not cooperating so I stopped into the wetlands and tried my hand at birding. Still a huge learning curve on setup on this body and of course my birding experience is about 0%. Overall I am pleased with the experience I gained today but still a long way to go with this new body.
