What have you all done?

I'm writing light verse and making acrostics of it for puzzle magazines. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately in some members' opinion, I can't show you samples. I sell the copyrights, and posting would count as prior publication.

Define, "getting older." ;-)a

Good point. I've never not been getting older.

Once I retire, I've got a buzzilion slides and negatives from my father that I could go through and try to digitize.
I've been meaning to put together a coffee-table book of photographs of mine, but I never get the time to dedicate to it. Having a wife cuts into my alone time.

Do you shoot any film yourself, Moose? For some odd reason, I have the bug and want to shoot film again. I am picking up a Mamiya rb67 this week. I've never used one, but how hard can it be, right?

I used to shoot b&w, had the darkroom and all that went with it. For now I'll have it processed for me. They'll put it on a disc as well. Not too bad.

I've never seen 'develope' spelt that way. I don't know what your source was, but I think it's highly suspect.

The Oxford English dictionary seems to think it exists, just didn't want to be correcting Moose only to discover he wasn't incorrect in the first place.

I appreciate that. And it saved me from making you look silly by correcting your correction. ;-)a

It is often correct in English to add an e . We do it frequently in Ye Olde Shoppe when attempting to communicate in Olde English.

"I will that as soone as I am trespassed out of this worlde that ye take my harte owte of my body, and embawme it, and take of my treasoure as ye shall thynke sufficient for that enterprise, both for your selfe and suche company as ye wyll take with you, and present my hart to the holy Sepulchre where as our Lorde laye, seyng my body can nat come there."

Ain't nothin but a thing.

Why would you want to be communicating in old English? Correct me if I'm wrong, but, except in special circumstances, we no longer speak it ;-)a

This is indeed the Older Photographers thread, but no one here is that old!

Maybe some of us have been reincarnated from a bygone era, and the language has stuck with us.

And don't discount vampyres.
