Nice!

B&H has been less communicative.

The funny thing is that I got the backorder email this morning on my spare battery but not on the camera itself.

Both the camera and battery went from "backordered" to "on order" sometime yesterday.

The camera is now listed as "In stock, order sent to warehouse" so I should see a ship notice before they close with delivery tomorrow... Fingers crossed. :)

I suspect that the battery will take a few more days. I can see them working on the bodies first.

I got my order in the day of the announcement about 20 minutes before I got the B&H email announcing the camera and pre-orders... So I don't think I'm going to help anyone find their spot in line. If you're reading this you're probably behind me. ;)

Can't wait until I get mine too! Shouldn't be too long now, when compared to the life expectancy of a great tortoise. :D

I'm happy for all of you who are about to own such an excellent question.... well, with the exception of TeamSpeed.

I hope the 1DX Mark ll is wildly successful. I might be able to pick up a 1DX Mark l in my price range before that great tortoise passes away. ;)

Hey all, now that the beast is hipping, I'm going to close this thread if no one has a strong reason to object.

Discussion of all tings 1Dx II continues in the owners thread;
