Super cheap at $180

I bought this 85mm from here with full disclosure that it's focus "knocks" and in general it's best to consider it Manual Focus.
It takes great shots but the focus stutters sometimes. Often a twist of the ring will start it all over and get it to lock but sometimes it hunts when it shouldn't. See the video.

First the lens.

[Photos got pushed to the end I'm not sure why.]

An example shot.

The videos
This one shows it generally being slow and very loud, stuttering, knocking I don't know what to call it.

This one shows it failing to focus then I have to release and restart on BBF.

Throw out an offer. Here's a cheap chance to try out the focal range.

Just curious, did you ever consider sending it into CPS? This is a covered lens if you are a member.

I have not. I am not a member. I expected at this price someone would want to just play around with it. Perhaps I should look into the repair process.

Okay, the cost of repair added to this would be higher than they sell for in the used arena.

How is the manual focus in operation? If the problem is only with autofocus this could be a great deal for someone starting out and on a budget. I know a lot of photo 101 type classes require specific lenses and college kids are usually on a tight budget so a friendly bump and GLWS!

I like to shoot things...sometimes with a camera!

Manual focus is smooth and "normal". Works just as expected.
