Thank you Dankata, I love examples like this because they show what can be achieved in post. Would you be willing to describe the adjustments you made to the RAW file?

awesome. I have always been curious how close your lighting is from the beginning to the finished product. I really appreciate you taking the time to show this.

If you are interested, here (https://photography-on-the.net …hread.php?t=684360&page=1) is a great thread just about showing raw conversions with adjustments made. It's been a bit quiet lately, so more activity would be good . . .

Cheers, Damien

Thanks Damien, I follow that thread but as you say it's been quiet lately. I still have much to learn about post processing, especially sharpening properly.

I don't think it's helpful as the RAW files never look good and most important don't look like the real colors and contrast the eyes is seeing at the moment of the photo. Even my iPhone photos look better than the RAW files! But sure, if I don't forget the next post will show before/after photo

Such a simple idea for the dates, and yet just great!

I know that a lens can be used for anything one desires, however, in my mind, this lens seems like it should only be used for portraits! It's just a mental block for me:(

Just go out and force yourself to shoot things other than people with it. I literally think I've only done one portrait session with this lens, and every other photo I've taken with it has been something other than people/portraits ; )

Yeah I shoot everything from cars, food, horses, and portraits all with my 135L. It's actually a really versatile lens.
