I am guessing with regular delivery for free but expedited shipping at $25.99 they don't really have them in stock . Could easily be wrong.

Did you order a Sony transmitter with expedited shipping? If so how long did it take? From order date to Friday?

Jim

Thanks - but $25 shipping to get it before June. Somehow this sounds a little suspicious. However I certainly appreciate the heads up.

Jim

International Air Frieght or Air Mail. I wondered about that.

As can be seen below, there are still issues with the Nikon version of the X1 at 1/250. Anthony Shom Scott tested this while he was in Dallas, so I ordered the Cheetah version of the X1N to see if it made any difference. Unfortunately, the Adorama and Cheetah versions produce the same results.

When looking at the AD600, I can see the HSS indicator light up when the shutter is tripped at 1/250. This is clearly wrong, so it will continue to plague the Nikon implementation until Godox finds a way to fix it. Godox doesn't listen to minions like myself, so maybe there's someone else on this forum that has a way to get their attention.

The results in TTL mode, by the way, are the same.

Just to be sure everyone understands; all the X1T units, regardless of the reseller are the same with regards to firmware and functionality. The ONLY difference is the silkscreened branding logotype on the external casing.

The Sony version does not have a similar problem with switching from x sync mode to HSS mode. I suspect that there is something that Nikon does that is causing a communications problem.

Nikon may, as Canon did, make changes in the protocol that controls interworking between the camera and the speedlite. Since they own the technology they can do that. Its one way to keep people buying their equipment.

Honestly I paid about 70 bucks....I know kinda steep, but I sold my Pixel kings to make up for it. It will be about 9 days from order date.

Nikon and their competitors can (and do) certainly make changes with new bodies, but the D800 has been around for 4 years. PW and others have figured it out, so it's bewildering that this drags on with the X1. I would just like confirmation that Godox is aware of the hiccup, and intends to fix it.

By the way, the firmware and functionality from the various resellers might be the same, but not so much with the physical characteristics. The X1N that I received via Amazon last month turned out to be a 'tweener version. It had the triangle on the face, but it wouldn't slide in to the hotshoe quite far enough for the locking pin to engage. Godox subsequently modified the foot, and that's the version currently being sold by Cheetah and Adorama. YMMV.

No problem. I talked to someone that was at CheetahStand testing the Sony triggers and they said it should be available in about 40 days. Figured I could get it faster through Amazon.

To put the plug into the AD600 you have take out the bulb. WOW now you have the bulb in your hands that you can put into remote head and the world is whole again.

Bahahahahahah!!! Sometimes it's easy to bypass the obvious. :-)

Some have reported a length of 9 ft, while others have been surprised to find it only 8 ft long.

Do you notice any loss of power from using the extension head. I'd expect a bit of a loss, like maybe a 1/4 stop or so.
