I am looking for a small bag I can throw some accessories in to put in my smaller camera bag I use for hiking. I have a larger camera bag I use for vacations and such and more or less store everything in when not in use. The smaller backpack I have has a large top compartment without many other pockets to put things like filters, remote shutter release, memory cards, batteries, etc. So they just get stuck on one large pocket rattling around. I am looking for a smaller bag to put these things in and then be able to throw that smaller pouch in my backpack without them just scattered around in a larger pocket.

The Peak Designs field pouch looks great for this but maybe a tad on the large size for just a few items. Also it might be better if I could find something more rectangular or box shaped instead of the envelope type shape but that aspect doesn't really matter much. Do any of you have this type of bag/pouch you use for such items? I have been looking outside the camera world as well at places like REI but haven't come across anything that quite fits the bill.

Thanks

Pencil cases come in a large variety of shapes and sizes.

Thanks for the idea. I found a nice toiletry bag at REI that might do the trick.

I think the Field Pouch is the perfect size to hold your filters, remote, memory cards, batteries, cellphone and wallet. That's what I use it for when I need additional storage but without carrying a full blown bag.

The bag is thin so the items inside will be close together and not rattling around. The bag also expands in thickness and height depending on what you put in there.
